Ms. Hakika V. DuBose, aka, Kika started her first Stretch Studio on May 2011 in Manhattan. Kika, a former professional actor and dancer with many years of experience, decided to leave her 9 to 5 job. She went the entrepreneurial way to afford her more time to be with her child.
Kika’s education in dance from Montclair State, her work as a personal trainer, instruction in the Alexander technique, Laban movement analysis and advanced anatomy lay the foundation. Aware of an unmet need in the physical exercise market, she was determined to bridge the gap.

Profile of Eugene Jackson –Owner and General Manager of Stretching Studio Morristown, NJ franchise
Eugene Jackson, BFA is a graduate of the Mason Gross School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) focused in Dance Performance and Choreography from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick. His knowledge of Kinesiology and Laban Movement Analysis guided him to a career in fitness, health, and wellness.
As an experienced Fitness Coach with established credentials of working in the health, wellness, and fitness industry, he is skilled in Contemporary Dance, Improvisation, Ballet and Performing Arts. His understanding of jazz, tap, modern, ballet, and African dance coupled with the help of his high school and college dance instructors maintained the ‘ideal’ flexibility needed as a dancer.
However, according to Eugene, he failed to support his body by allowing the lessons he learned to slip by, resulting in painful injuries. This awareness motivated him to take up a career as a fitness instructor with a view to help people maintain their body shape by improving their flexibility and ultimately their fitness.
Through a mutual friend, Leilah, he met with Hakika, the founder of Stretch Studio. The available Morristown Stretch Studio ownership opportunity, matched Eugene’s vision.
Shortly thereafter, he became a Franchise Business Owner of Kika Stretch Studios Morristown and Certified Fitness Professional.
